As a salesperson, I always start my conversation with this question: “What is your goal for this partnership?” And there are only two answers I normally receive asking this question: - First is to consistently attract top talents by elevating the employer brand and second is to become a great workplace that has a strong company culture with happy and productive employees.

I begin with this  question because with the many solutions  Great Place to Work® Philippines can provide to an organization, it is easier to identify how we can better partner with you by simply starting with your end-goal in mind. Here at Great Place to Work®, we have committed ourselves to transforming workplaces all over the world by working with companies in developing high-trust and high-performance company cultures. So, while we may be better known for our badges and recognition, the work that we do with our partners goes much deeper than those.

As a validation, I have compiled a few of what my clients have shared with me that their organization gained after being Great Place to Work-Certified™:

1. Working with experienced culture leaders

We use a rigorous methodology to evaluate and recognize outstanding companies that employees trust. Not to mention, this is the same methodology that we use to determine the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® list that is published annually in America, and over 150 Best Workplaces™ lists that we publish worldwide. By partnering with us, you harness over two decades of knowledge and experience that can help your organization reach new heights of excellence and productivity.  We do this by having you partner with our experienced culture consultants who take data-driven approach in identifying what sets your employee experience apart from competition, and what can make your organization an even better place to work.

By partnering with us, you harness over two decades of knowledge and experience that can help your organization reach new heights of excellence and productivity.

2. Better talent pool and lower employee turnover

A Great Place to Work® Certification speaks volumes about your quality as an employer. When you earn the badge, it tells your employees and potential candidates that your company is where they can thrive, work for people they trust, have colleagues they enjoy working with, and be proud of what they do. All these are attractive propositions that will persuade your current employees to stay, entice others to join you, and include you consistently on top of everyone’s mind when they talk about best companies to work for and top employers.

3. Better understanding of employee experience

Ever wondered what your employees think of you as an employer? At Great Place to Work, we use  Emprising™, our  leading employee experience survey platform. It eliminates all the guesswork by providing you with data and insights into your employees’ perception of your organization. It also helps you benchmark your company against the Philippines Best Workplaces™, so you will be better informed on how you can improve employee experience, make more strategic business decisions, and build a better workplace for all.

4. Boost on company culture

It can be challenging to grow your organization. There are so many moving parts, and you need to inspire your people to rally behind you. But during these times, often companies are on a survival mode, and employees are constantly called to cope and adapt in the shifting workplace landscape brought by the pandemic. Whether your company is one of the few that are thriving amidst the global challenges or one of many that are barely surviving, a boost on the company culture is needed.

When you partner with us, we will guide you on how to develop a high-trust workplace culture that will allow your people to thrive. Thus, creating a positive contribution in all facets of your business as it grows, including your financial performance, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.

5. Recognition as a great workplace

As a Great Place to Work-Certified™ company, you will be given a royalty-free badge which you may freely incorporate to  your various marketing assets such as your website, social media page, promotional materials, events, campaigns , and more. Having this badge is a clear, direct, and easy way in making sure prospective candidates will see what kind of workplace you have.

This can be especially important as candidates increasingly look for companies that share their values. Thus, the badge makes attracting potential employees and retaining your current ones much easier. Considering how difficult and expensive it is to hire top talent these days, your badge can be an understated yet highly valuable recruitment tool.

More importantly, being Certified™ gives you the chance to be recognized as one of the Philippines’ Best Workplaces™, as well as in Asia and the rest of the world. You will be able to join a select group of organizations that bears the ultimate mark of being an employer of choice.

For All™ Methodology

Great Place To Work, the global authority on workplace culture, determined the Philippines Best Workplaces™ 2023 List by conducting annual workforce studies through our Trust Index Survey™ and Culture Management platform Emprising®, representing the voices of over 450,000 employees across the Philippines.

Employees responded to over 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organization creates a great place to work For All™, meaning that the company empowers all individuals to reach their full human potential. Eighty-five percent of the evaluation is based on what employees report about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organization, no matter who they are or what they do. We analyze these experiences relative to each organization’s size, workforce makeup, and what’s typical in their industry and region. The remainder of the evaluation is an assessment of all employees’ daily experiences of the company’s values, people’s ability to contribute new ideas, and the effectiveness of their leaders to ensure they’re consistently experienced.

To ensure surveys truly represent all employees, we require enough people in each organization to respond that results are accurate to a 95% confidence level and 5% margin of error or better. We review any anomalies in survey responses, news, and financial performance to ensure there aren’t any extraordinary reasons to believe we couldn’t trust a company’s survey results.

Why do you say in one place your national list scoring is based on 85%/15% and in another place that it is 75%/25%?

We are explaining two different things:
1.  The criteria we evaluate

  •  85% concerned with Trust and Maximizing Human Potential and
  • 15% concerned with everything else

2.  Where the data comes from

  • 100% Trust Index for organizations with less than 100 employees
  • 75% based on the Trust Index survey analytics and 25% based on responses to the Culture Audit for organizations with more than 100 employees.
