The Philippines placed 20 companies on the Best Workplaces in Asia 2026 list, and six of them are small businesses, more than any other Southeast Asian market managed. Atomy, one of the six, ranks first among every small and medium workplace in Asia.
When one in five skilled Filipino workers is expected to change jobs during 2026, the highest projected turnover in Southeast Asia, ahead of Singapore at 19.3% and Malaysia at 18.2%. That figure comes from Aon’s 2025 Salary Increase and Turnover Study, which surveyed more than 700 businesses across six countries.
So the Philippines is simultaneously the hardest market in the region to keep staff in, and the one placing the most small employers on Asia’s workplace list. Both things are true, and the second is more interesting because of the first.
How many Philippine companies made Best Workplaces in Asia 2026?
Twenty. Fourteen sit in the large category, meaning 500 or more employees across Asia, and six in the small and medium category, covering 50 to 499.
The list names 200 companies in total, 100 in each size group. Across all of Asia the Philippines ranks ninth by company count, in a field led by the UAE, India, Greater China and Japan.
| Market | Companies | Small and medium |
|---|---|---|
| Singapore | 25 | 5 |
| Vietnam | 24 | 4 |
| Philippines | 20 | 6 |
| Indonesia | 19 | 3 |
| Thailand | 18 | 1 |
| Malaysia | 15 | 1 |
Why does the Philippines lead Southeast Asia on small businesses?
Six of the twenty Philippine entries are small and medium businesses, which is 30% of the country’s list. Thailand and Malaysia managed one each, at 6% and 7% of theirs.
Only three markets in all of Asia placed more small companies: the UAE with 22, Japan with 16 and Sri Lanka with 10. India, with double the Philippines’ total entries, placed the same six.
| Company | Sector | Asia placement |
|---|---|---|
| Atomy | Retail | 1st |
| NeoWork | Professional services | 26th |
| Kollab | Information technology | 48th |
| DBP Service Corporation | Other | 50th |
| Arcanys | Information technology | 79th |
| Etrading Software Manila | Information technology | 80th |
Atomy took first place among small and medium workplaces across Asia, up from third last year. Kollab climbed 20 places to 48th. NeoWork and DBP Service Corporation are both new to the list.
What the technology concentration says about the sector
Eight of the twenty Philippine companies work in information technology, which is 40% of the list and the highest concentration of any Southeast Asian market. Singapore’s six technology companies sit inside a list of 25.
That reflects where the country’s employment weight sits. The IT and business process management sector employs about 1.9 million people and earned roughly $40 billion in export revenue in 2025, growing faster than the global average.
It is also a sector under revision. In July the industry association cut its 2028 job target from 2.5 million to 2.14 million, naming artificial intelligence, buyer behaviour and global competition among the risks. That is 360,000 jobs removed from a forecast in a single review.
Read against a 20% attrition rate and a shrinking growth path, an employee-decided list stops looking like a marketing exercise. Retention is the constraint the sector keeps running into, and the companies here have evidence about their own workforces that most of their competitors do not.
Financial services is the second cluster, with three companies: Synchrony at 12th in Asia, Bank of the Philippine Islands at 64th and American Express at 88th. No other Southeast Asian market has more than two.
The trade-off is breadth. Philippine companies come from eight industries, the narrowest spread in the region, where Vietnam covers 14.
Which Philippine companies climbed in 2026?
Capital One climbed 39 places in Asia, from 85th to 46th. Great Place To Work’s year-on-year data shows that is the largest gain by any company on the Philippine list and the third largest by any company in Southeast Asia.
| Company | 2025 | 2026 | Places gained |
|---|---|---|---|
| Capital One | 85 | 46 | 39 |
| Kollab | 68 | 48 | 20 |
| Visa | 58 | 39 | 19 |
| Etrading Software Manila | 89 | 80 | 9 |
| Atomy | 3 | 1 | 2 |
Six Philippine companies are new to the list: NeoWork at 26th, DBP Service Corporation at 50th, Carelon Global Solutions Philippines at 53rd, Concentrix at 58th, Bank of the Philippine Islands at 64th and Balibago Waterworks System at 71st.
A bank, a water utility and a service corporation cleared the same bar as Cisco this year. None of the three is a technology firm, which is a useful corrective for a market whose workplace conversation tends to start and end with the towers in Bonifacio Global City.
What does Best Workplaces in Asia 2026 measure?
Employees answer 60 statements on a five-point scale and two open questions. The statements cover whether leaders are reachable and honest, whether pay and promotion are fair, and whether the work feels worth doing.
Consistency is what separates the list from a satisfaction score. Great Place To Work measures how far responses differ inside a single company, so a business where head office is thriving and the service floor has given up ranks below one holding steady across every team.
The order is set by the people who work there. Placement comes from survey responses and nothing else.
Now in its twelfth year, the Asia list is part of a global program publishing Best Workplaces lists in more than 60 countries, backed by 30 years of research and benchmarking data representing more than 100 million employees worldwide.
Frequently asked questions
How many Philippine companies are on Best Workplaces in Asia 2026?
Twenty Philippine companies made the Best Workplaces in Asia 2026 list. Fourteen are in the large category, for organisations with 500 or more employees across Asia, and six are in the small and medium category, covering 50 to 499 employees. Those six are more small businesses than any other Southeast Asian market placed. Singapore led the region overall with 25 companies, followed by Vietnam with 24 and the Philippines with 20.
Which Philippine company ranked highest on Best Workplaces in Asia 2026?
Atomy ranked first across Asia among small and medium workplaces, climbing from third in 2025. On the large list, Hilton took first place in Asia and appears on the Philippine list, followed by Marriott International, Cisco, DHL and Accenture. Rankings show Asia-wide positions within each size group, so a single company can appear on several country lists carrying the same number.
Are the Best Workplaces in Asia rankings paid for?
No. Placement on the Best Workplaces in Asia list is decided by employee survey results and nothing else. Employees complete the confidential Trust Index Survey, and their responses determine whether a company makes the list and where it ranks. Companies cannot buy a position, and no external panel or judging committee sets the order. Surveys must also meet strict requirements for distribution and response rates.
What is the employee attrition rate in the Philippines?
Aon’s 2025 Salary Increase and Turnover Study projects that 20% of skilled Filipino workers will change jobs during 2026, the highest rate among the six Southeast Asian markets surveyed. Singapore follows at 19.3% and Malaysia at 18.2%. The study covered more than 700 businesses. High turnover is a large part of why employee-verified workplace recognition carries commercial weight in the Philippine market.
When was Best Workplaces in Asia 2026 announced?
The 2026 Best Workplaces in Asia list was published on Thursday 10 September 2026, the twelfth edition of the list. This year’s edition drew on surveys of companies employing more than 8.9 million people across Asia, with more than 3.8 million individual employee responses, and the listed companies were surveyed across 36 countries and territories.
