SENIOR LEADER NETWORKING SESSION

The Economics of Culture

The changing economic landscape in ASEAN and the Philippines presents more complex risks and untested opportunities for organizations. Business owners and senior executives need to make critical decisions on investments that ensure sustainable growth for their companies.

Many companies continue investing in artificial intelligence to drive business and operational transformation, bringing the company to greater success. But the question is – are we there yet? What is the impact of AI on workplace culture and the people?

The aspiration to transform the business also demands that companies and business owners ensure that their business and initiatives also positively impact the larger society. Senior leaders should build companies into great workplaces with the bigger purpose of contributing to nation-building.

The Methodology

The rigorous methodology behind the curation of the Best Workplaces™ List is a driving factor to why Great Place To Work® offer the gold standard of recognition. Our seasoned consultants evaluate the qualifying year’s group of participating companies using the Great Place To Work® For All™ Methodology alongside data from Emprising™—our proprietary survey reporting platform.

The Badge

The gold standard of recognition.

The Best Workplaces™ Badge is a globally-recognized accolade and the hallmark of an exceptional—or what we call a high-trust workplace culture. This is awarded to organizations who have passed our global threshold for Certification, exceeded expectations on our trademarked audits, and have provided proof of best people practices to our data consultants.

Got Questions? We've got answers.

What is Great Place To Work®?

Great Place To Work is the global authority on workplace culture. Our mission is to help every place become a great place to work for all. We give leaders and organizations the recognition and tools to create a consistently and overwhelmingly positive employee experience, fostering cultures that are proven to drive business, improve lives, and better society.

We offer the gold standard of recognition. Through the For All™ methodology, our data scientists curate the Best Workplaces List by conducting a Culture Audit™ among eligible organizations. Companies that make the List are issued an official plaque, trademarked badge, and have the right to promote their status for 12 months.

Once a company becomes Great Place To Work Certified™, they are automatically made eligible for our Best Workplaces Lists. Not yet Certified? Get started here.

Employees respond to over 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organization creates a great place to work For All™️.

85% of the evaluation is based on what employees say about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organization, no matter who they are or what they do.

Great Place To Work® analyzes these experiences relative to each organization’s size, workforce make up, and what’s typical in their industry. The remaining 15% of the rank is based on an assessment of all employees’ daily experiences of innovation, company values, and the effectiveness of their leaders to ensure these are consistently experienced.

To be considered, companies must meet the Great Place To Work Certified™ standard. Trust Index™ survey results are accurate to a 95% confidence level with a 5% margin of error or better to ensure the survey results truly represent all employees.

We review any anomalies in survey responses, news, and financial performance to ensure there no extraordinary reasons to believe we could not trust a company’s survey results.

Companies with 10 to 99 employees are considered for the Small category.

Companies with 100 employees or more are considered for the Medium category.

Companies exceeding 1,000 employees are considered for the Large category.

The Culture Audit is an official document filled out by Great Place To Work Certified™ organizations interested in pursuing a Best Workplaces badge.

To be eligible for consideration, ensure that your company is Great Place To Work Certified™ before November 15, 2024. If your organization has 100 or more employees, submit the Culture Audit on or before the same deadline – Nov 15, 2024.

For All™ Methodology

Great Place To Work, the global authority on workplace culture, determined the Philippines Best Workplaces™ 2023 List by conducting annual workforce studies through our Trust Index Survey™ and Culture Management platform Emprising®, representing the voices of over 450,000 employees across the Philippines.

Employees responded to over 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organization creates a great place to work For All™, meaning that the company empowers all individuals to reach their full human potential. Eighty-five percent of the evaluation is based on what employees report about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organization, no matter who they are or what they do. We analyze these experiences relative to each organization’s size, workforce makeup, and what’s typical in their industry and region. The remainder of the evaluation is an assessment of all employees’ daily experiences of the company’s values, people’s ability to contribute new ideas, and the effectiveness of their leaders to ensure they’re consistently experienced.

To ensure surveys truly represent all employees, we require enough people in each organization to respond that results are accurate to a 95% confidence level and 5% margin of error or better. We review any anomalies in survey responses, news, and financial performance to ensure there aren’t any extraordinary reasons to believe we couldn’t trust a company’s survey results.

Why do you say in one place your national list scoring is based on 85%/15% and in another place that it is 75%/25%?

We are explaining two different things:
1.  The criteria we evaluate

  •  85% concerned with Trust and Maximizing Human Potential and
  • 15% concerned with everything else

2.  Where the data comes from

  • 100% Trust Index for organizations with less than 100 employees
  • 75% based on the Trust Index survey analytics and 25% based on responses to the Culture Audit for organizations with more than 100 employees.
