Great Place to Work® Philippines welcomed both new and familiar names in our Philippines Best Workplaces™ 2022 Virtual List Reveal on March 23. This year’s list is bigger than ever as we recognized 25 organizations in three categories: Small, Medium, and Large Best Workplaces™ List. You may watch the entire event below:
This year’s event centered around the theme of “Motivation. Purpose. Metamorphosis.”, which looked at how companies evolve to provide what’s best For All™ and the motivation and purpose that drive them towards this goal. Hosted by writer, speaker, voice actor, and entrepreneur JC Alelis, it was an afternoon that put a spotlight on exemplary organizations that held steadfast in putting their employees first in these trying times.
Our CEO Michael Bush acknowledged the transformation companies underwent based on the experiences of COVID-19 and their resilience amid the challenges in his opening speech.
“They have found a way to stay great by taking care of their people, being flexible, listening and providing things that they need so that they know they are in a company that they can rely on and a company that they can depend on.”
Most of the companies that we recognized are first-time list makers. It’s a testament to the growing number of organizations in the Philippines that are committed to providing employees with workplaces where they can thrive.
Several past awardees also made it back to our list: DHL Express Philippines, Synchrony, American Express, Ingram Micro Philippines, Atlassian Philippines, Hilton Philippines, and Ericsson Telecommunications. They remain models of what a great workplace is.

These workplaces share some common traits, said Antoniette Mendoza-Talosig, Managing Partner of Great Place to Work® Philippines and Principal Consultant of Great Place to Work® ASEAN in her speech.
“Great workplaces are purpose-driven and values-led. Clarity of purpose anchors these companies during challenging times. They also recognize that to be the best, their employees must have a consistent positive experience regardless of who they are or what they do in the company. Finally, they display business agility and cultural adaptability. This happens when there is a sense of psychological safety and employees feel free to openly share their ideas.”
As companies and their employees begin to learn to live with COVID-19, our guest of honor Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon M. Lopez shared his optimism of what 2022 will bring.
“We expect to see a steady rise in employment and breakthrough for many businesses because of a more stable business environment. Less government-imposed lockdowns because of our high vaccination rate that still steadily increases. And the rapid adoption of innovation and e-commerce that continue to drive the growth of many sectors,” said Secretary Lopez.
There’s indeed a lot to look forward to this year. We see companies continuing to evolve and we hope that many more will be innovative, committed to their employees, and a place where trust, respect, and fairness prevail. In this spirit of constant evolution, we are also positive about having a bigger Philippines Best Workplaces™ list next year, which we know will include many of our previous list makers.
